We need ideas for June's Themed Week! Comment with your ideas here and we will put them up in a poll later.

We changed one of our folder names. "Photography in the Wild" is now known as "Wild Bird Photography." This will be less confusing, since some people were unsure where to put photos of wild birds in urban environments or in human hands (e.g., after mist netting and such).

June 4
With the beginning of June comes the opening of three great new contests! Our photo and art contests share the same theme - "Close-ups" - since "Bird Eyes" won the poll. DCfotografie commented that both "Bird Eyes" and "Bird Feet" share a similar idea and could be consolidated, so I went ahead with that idea. Thanks!

The Unknown Artists contest features the theme of Birds in Flight. To qualify for this contest, you must have received less than 2000 faves total OR less than 150 average views per deviation. You can find out these stats here. The theme is different for the U.A. contest because close-ups can be difficult for beginner photographers to capture, since they often require a telephoto or macro lens, or the fortune of visiting a zoo where the birds are not shy at all.

Our member BloodLustInsanity is looking for some help. Read on:
"I am currently working on a piece doing pigeon mugshots. I've got names, genders, morphs etc but I'm out of fun crime ideas. So far I have things such as stealing ice cream, flying over stop signs, causing riots, birdnapping, even demonic possession so I'm open to any ideas!"
